Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m Stephanie — a wellness blogger, mindfulness coach and yoga instructor from Chicago. My blog is your home destination for all things yoga, meditation, vegan food inspiration, healthy living tips, and creating an abundant mindset! My goal is to help women find calm & positivity in their hectic lives, cultivate mindfulness, and live with passion, authenticity & purpose!
Health and wellness was never a top priority for me. In fact, I would say was not very health conscious for the majority of my life. I did not grow up playing sports and I never really cared about nutrition or what I ate. For a long time, my dream was to be a fashion designer and/or a wedding planner. I was much more interested in watching runways than I was in working out or eating healthy.
Throughout my college years, I never worked out & I lived on pizza, ramen and beer (no, I was not vegan in college). It finally all caught up to me when I turned 25. I started getting sick constantly, I had terrible body image issues and I hit the darkest period of depression I’ve ever experienced.
I remember originally starting my yoga practice because I thought it would help me lose weight. However, I learned rather quickly that it was so much more than just a workout. I found yoga when I was going through a very difficult time in my life. The lessons I learned on my mat were easily translated into my everyday life, and they helped me grow and become a better person. Yoga helped me overcome my crippling depression and taught me how to love myself. I even started taking better care of myself including what I choose to eat, what products I consumed, and where I focused my energy. My love for yoga continued to evolve, and I made the decision to register for Yoga Teacher Training.
I eventually left my corporate 9-5 marketing agency job to pursue my passion for teaching yoga and blogging full time. I also decided to go back to school to become a health coach! I truly believe my purpose in this world is to help women live more mindfully, transition to a plant-based diet, find a workout routine that they love, and live their happiest and healthiest lives!
Wellness has transformed my life, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to share my healthy lifestyle with you! I know that with hard work, perseverance, and a positive mindset, you can accomplish anything. My goal is that you leave my blog feeling inspired, motivated, and ready to take on the world!
